1/4 cup Burke's Hot Sauce - Original Habanero or Thai Chili Habanero
4 Tbsp. Butter
2 Tbsp. honey
Sides for Dipping
Carrot sticks
Celery sticks
Blue cheese or ranch sauce for dipping
DIRECTIONS:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees
Place a wire rack over an aluminum foil covered baking sheet
Dry wings with a paper towel
Mix onion powder, garlic powder, salt and oil- place in air-tight container and add chicken wings
Shake container to coat the wings (can also marinate for 1 hour to 1 day)
Place wings on a wire rack, skin up and cook for 50-60 minutes, flipping halfway through cooking process, until skin is crispy.
While baking- mix the hot sauce with the butter and honey in a saucepan on low/medium setting until all incorporated and butter melted.
Once baked and skin crispy, remove wings from the oven and coat the wings evenly with sauce mixture using a basting brush.
Turn the oven on to medium broil setting. Return wings to oven, on middle oven rack and broil for approximately 3 minutes (watch for sauce on wings bubbling and light caramelization at the edges of the wings). Watch carefully, so it doesn’t burn.
Remove from the oven, plate and enjoy! Wings are fantastic alone or with a dipping sauce!
